2009 Percheron/Thoroughbred mare

15-3 Hands Mahogany Bay

This pretty little mare jumps, has dressage basics and hacks quietly.   She has had eventing training with Angela Bowles, and is safe and willing over small fences.  She is currently focusing on dressage at Helicon Farm.

I think she would make a wonderful horse for amateur rider seeking a best friend for beginner novice eventing and dressage, hacking, or fox hunting.  She is also the perfect bareback horse.  Bareback is fun and it does wonders for your seat!

She is kind, with a cooperative and willing character. She is a safe horse, quiet and confident.  She goes willingly on the flat.  Over fences she needs a little push.  She is calm but still interested in life.  She is a great age - old enough to be sensible and young enough to have great years ahead with her next partner.

Tuie is light to the aids and goes round and steady at the trot. She picks up the canter easily and stays light and balanced.

She is deep rich bay in color with luxurious mane and tail. She has a beautiful face with a star on her forehead. She gets along well with other horses  and is easy to catch.   She is barefoot and thrives on good hay and grazing.  She is not marish.   She loads, hauls and stables quietly. She greets you with an adorable nicker.

$16,500 to a great home!

Here is a clip of Tuie jumping beginner novice fences.  This video reveals her wonderful attitude.  She is out of shape and has not jumped in at least a year.  The location, the fences and the rider are all new to her.  She did her best, and never shied or refused.  The ditch at the end is a novice obstacle.        Thank you Katie Carney for catch-riding Tuie for this video!

Sadly, Tuie is off the market as she has been diagnosed with a damaged hind suspensory.  With her kindness and stability, she could make a great therapy horse.  She could still be a pleasure horse for some one who only wants to go slow.  Our focus now is on finding her a safe place in responsible hands.
